General Terms and Conditions for Power Conference 2024 Attendees

1

Introductory Provisions

  1. These Terms govern the legal relationships between the organizers of Power Conference 2024 (hereinafter referred to as the “Event”) and the visitors of the Event.
  2. The main organizer of the event is DataBrothers s.r.o., with its registered office at Karla Engliše 2, 150 00 Prague 5, registered with the Municipal Court in Prague under file no. C 294333, ID No. 07080794.
  3. The co-organizers are the companies listed here.
  4. When referring to a visitor in these Terms and Conditions, it means a ticket holder of any category, including exhibitors, speakers and media representatives.

Validity of Terms and Conditions

Visitors entering the venue are guided by:

  1. These Terms and Conditions.
  2. Visiting rules of the event venue or other similar document issued by the operator of the event venue.
  3. Any other documents and arrangements concluded with the organizer.

These terms and conditions are valid upon purchase or other acceptance of the ticket, or by entering the venue of the event, and at such moment the visitor expresses his/her consent to them.

Event registration

  1. Registration of participation and all specific authorizations are governed by the price list valid for the event published on the organizer’s website. The published price list is a non-binding, non-addressed offer on the part of the organizer.
  2. Registration is made through the organizer’s portal or by sending a binding order by e-mail. Acceptance of electronic registration is confirmed to the contact e-mail address provided during registration and all other written communication with the client and visitor is conducted to this address.
  3. The organizer is not responsible for the technical provision of communication and proper delivery of e-mails. It is the responsibility of the Client to ensure the deliverability of the contact e-mail, who is also obliged to provide a functional contact e-mail address.

Payment and cancelation conditions

  1. The payment of the participation fee must be made before the event to the account indicated by the organizer by bank transfer, or by credit card on the registration portal or in another predetermined way. Payment terms are included in the price list of the event.
  2. The ticket price is in CZK. The organizer does not charge any fees or costs for the delivery of the ticket. This does not apply if the organizer entrusts an intermediary with the sale of tickets for the conference. In this case, the terms and conditions of the intermediary will apply.
  3. The ticket cannot be returned unless otherwise stated by the organizer or intermediary.
  4. In the event of cancellation of the conference by the organizer without setting an alternative date for the conference, the organizer will refund 100% of the paid price to the ticket holder. The ticket holder is not entitled to reimbursement of any costs incurred in connection with registration or participation in a cancelled or rescheduled event.
  5. If the capacity of the event is full, the organizer reserves the right to interrupt or completely stop accepting orders.
  6. If the event is interrupted or terminated after its start for reasons not caused by the organizer, the right to a refund of the prize expires.
  7. The organizer does not refund the unused registration fee.

Event tickets

  1. The price of the ticket and all specific rights associated with its ownership are governed by the price list valid for the holding of the event published on the event website.
  2. Tickets are issued in the name of the visitor and are non-transferable. Ticket handover within the Client’s Office is possible only after agreement with the Organiser.
  3. Honorary (VIP) tickets are non-transferable.
  4. Participation in the event is subject to the presentation of a valid ticket by the authorized holder, the ticket is sent electronically to the contact e-mail provided during registration.
  5. In the event that the holder of the ticket is allowed to enter without a participant’s ticket, the organizer reserves the right to block such a ticket and not allow entry to the event to its actual holder or to require the ticket owner to pay the second participation fee additionally.
  6. To purchase a ticket, you must provide valid contact information. The Promoter guarantees that the data obtained in this way will be used in accordance with the principles of personal data processing (see the last point of these Terms and Conditions).
  7. The exact scope of the services provided by the organizer to the ticket and the scope of the holder’s authorization is specified in the offer price list of the event for each of the admission categories.

Participation in the event

  1. Upon entry, the ticket holder will be given conference materials and an identifier that all participants are required to wear visibly throughout the event. Without the identifier, it is not allowed to remain in the event area.
  2. Visitors to the event are obliged to refrain from any unlawful conduct during the event and to act in such a way that their actions do not cause damage to the property of the organizer or third parties.
  3. Visitors are fully responsible for any damage they cause to the organizer or third parties by their actions.
  4. Visitors are obliged not to disturb the lecture part of the event with their behaviour, to behave considerately to other visitors and in the event of emergencies to respect the instructions of the organiser’s staff, the operator of the event venue and members of the rescue system.
  5. In the event of serious disruption of the event, repeated disruption of the event, violation of legal regulations, serious violation of social norms, or intentional damage Such conduct of the organizer does not exclude the visitor’s liability for damage, non-pecuniary harm or liability under other legal regulations.
  6. Visitors are obliged to obey the reasonable instructions of the organizer, persons delegated by the organizer and the instructions of members of the security forces issued in connection with the security of the event and in connection with the opening hours of the congress centre specified in the event programme. In the event of serious disobedience to such instructions, the organizer reserves the right to immediately terminate the validity of such visitor’s ticket.
  7. Visitors are obliged to comply with all regulations or other legal acts, as well as the instructions of the organizer issued in connection with the current development of the health and safety situation in the Czech Republic.
  8. In the event of non-compliance with binding regulations or reasonable instructions of the Organiser according to the previous articles, the visitor is obliged to compensate the Organiser for any damage and non-pecuniary damage, regardless of any other sanction of the visitor arising from his/her actions.
  9. The Organiser is not responsible for any health impacts of participation in the conference on the Client, unless they arise from a demonstrable breach of safety regulations by the Organiser.

Change of dates and program

  1. The organizer reserves the right to change the date or venue of the event. Such a change shall be announced no later than two weeks before its planned or actual start, whichever occurs first. The change will be notified to the e-mail address provided during registration.
  2. The organizer reserves the right to change the already announced program of the event (including individual speakers).
  3. With regard to the nature of the service provided under this article, the organizer does not provide a guarantee for performance under this article. However, the holder has rights from defective performance to the extent specified in the Civil Code and rights from any defective performance are otherwise governed by the relevant provisions of the Civil Code.
  4. Any rights arising from defective performance under this article must be exercised in writing with the organizer. Exercising rights arising from defective performance must contain the full name (or business name), address, ID number (if assigned), e-mail, ticket number and any other contact details of the ticket holder and a description of what the defective performance should consist of. The complaint form is not prescribed.
  5. The ticket holder who has exercised his/her rights from defective performance will be contacted by the Organiser regarding the settlement of the claim for defective performance at the e-mail address (or if he/she does not have one, then to the address of his/her residence or registered office that he/she stated when claiming the defect) without undue delay. If the ticket holder is a consumer, claims for defective performance must be resolved within 30 days. In other cases, within a reasonable time.

Recording and Privacy

  1. The organizer informs that during the event audio and video recordings of the lecture part of the event are made and photographs from the entire event are taken in accordance with the provisions of § 88 and § 89 of the Act. No. 89/2012 Coll.
  2. The purpose of making recordings is to exercise the rights and legitimate interests of the organizer in the form of documenting the course of the event, submitting information about the event to the partners of the event and promoting the event, and informing about the event through news.
  3. By entering the event, the visitor acknowledges that his/her appearance may be included in the photo documentation and agrees to it.
  4. The organizer undertakes to avoid the use of images that may be considered offensive or inappropriate to the depicted persons.
  5. All documentation under this article is made and processed in accordance with the Organizer’s Privacy Policy.
  6. Visitors are entitled to make audio and video documentation of the event and all its accessible parts for their own use to the extent allowed by the applicable law. At the same time, he is obliged to respect the rights of third parties and not to disrupt the course of the event in any way.
  7. The protection of personal data processed by conference organizers is governed by the Organizer’s Personal Data Processing Policy.

 

These General Terms and Conditions were last amended and come into effect on July 1st 2024.
